This diorama about the Refugee book, showing the scene when Josef's dad tried to commit suicide by jumping of the ship into the water because he remembered the Dachau concentration camp and how they killed anyone if they moved out of line by putting their heads in the water and drowning them. Aaron gets saved by the police boat and Officer Padron was the credited officer for saving Josef's dad, Aaron Landau.

Biography - Mini Biography
What Other Books Has He Written? Do They Have Similarities?
Prisoner B-3087:
Yanek (Jack) Gruener is a Jewish boy living in the 1930s when the Nazis invade and everything he loved and owned was taken from him and then he was made a prisoner. All this was based on a true story. Yes this book has some similarities and its based on a true story.
Projekt 1065:
Michael and his family used to help the injured Allied airmen to safety. And they sent Allied messages with the locations of the Nazis factories. When one of the boys from Michael’s Hittler Youth group gives him the plan for the Projekt 1065, a fighter jet which could change the path of the war. I think this has a little bit of similarity with Refugee.
Code of Honor:
Code of Honor is not based on a true story or real people. The story starts when this Iranian American boy named Kamran Smith finds out that his little brother Darius is labeled a terrorist. So he is dragged into a government facility to file a court case that Darius is innocent and not guilty. This book has a little connection with Mahmoud but over all I don’t think this has any similarities with Refugee.
The Brooklyn Nine:
This book has nine parts of nine successful children and their connection to Brooklyn and success in Baseball. They share the history of Baseball and all the heartaches and sacrifices made in Baseball. This book doesn't have any similarities however I did realize that one of the characters name is Schroeder, and there is also a character named Captain Schroeder in the Refugee book.
Samurai Shortstop:
When Emperor Meiji changes the ancient Samurai traditions in the late 1800's, Toyo Shimada has to find a perfect balance between cultural customs, and Besuboru which is the sport he loves. Toyo is a 16 year old boy who loves to play baseball. But he is uneasy with the suicide of his most loved uncle Koji. This book overall doesn't have any similarities with Refugee. And this book is also partly fiction and partly non-fiction.

PBL-ENGLISH
Hi my name is Richie Rich and I am the richest kid in the world.
I have a massive which has 10 triple bedrooms, 10 40sqm bathrooms, 10 kitchens,
10 huge lounges and 10 100sqm sports fields. I have an annoying brother who is the same
age as me and we both share the same room. My brother Richard Rich is very aggressive
and he likes to brag in school that he has the richest parents and that he has
his own town called Richardville. He always lies to people because he thinks that it
makes him sound cool but it doesn’t. It just gives me a bad name because kids say
that he has his own town which he doesn't. The town’s name is Richville which belongs to all of us.
I have no friends and it stayed like that for ages while Richard has loads and loads of friends so finally I thought of an idea which will get me friends. I waited until Saturday then I invited some of my brother’s friends over to my huge mansion. Richard’s friends don’t like liars as friends and don’t know about the Richardville lie. They all believe that lie and make fun of me.
The door bell rang and I opened the door, they came in, meanwhile Richard was not expecting them to be here because I hadn’t told him. I showed them around the house and the one thing that Richard's friends were most intrigued in was that Richie's house was so massive. All this was just to confuse Richard and when he left. I took them to the living room because nobody was there. I told them about Richard’s big lie about Richardville and they started laughing like crazy. I told them to be quiet but they didn’t hear so then my dad Rutherford Rich came down and said “guys what are you doing and Richie why aren't you telling them to keep the noise level down because I am working really hard on a um thing”
“Guys we have to be quiet otherwise dad will get mad and if dad gets mad it will be bad”
like how bad?
“Well he probably might ban me from bringing you guys over to my house”
“Oh well then who cares about you we will just spend time with Richard”
Listen to this. “Guys make as loud noises as you can... I closed my ears and made a run for it but just then my dad saw me and shut the gates”
I thought that right I have lost these friends and now they think that I am a lier. But I know that it isn’t over just yet because I am going to get told of.
He came storming in with his big brown leather boots which cost a fortune and said
“do you remember how I said to you about three years ago about the secret city I am going to build and if the residents living in Richville know about this new ville that I am planning to make they will all move there and do you know how much I hate those little rascals because one year ago they had a careless driver who ramed in to all the houses and buildings”
“yes”
I said in a quiet voice. He finally left and I was lonely again but I had an even better plan which sounds evil but I think Richard and his friends deserve it.
I rang the same kids over to my house and they disagreed but somehow I got them all here. I took them to the living room and said “ I’ll be back in a while” They said alright in a boring kind of voice. I ran out the door and locked them in there but just before I closed the door I made a loud scream I said to myself now this shall serve them right. Just at that very moment my dad came and shouted at them so loudly I felt like I was about to get deaf if I wasn’t already. Then I opened the door and said
“whats all the commotion for” “ and they said Richie you tricked us in to doing this”
But my dad didn’t believe them no matter how much he growled at me he was always at my side and that was really good and really helpful in this situation.
HOW ARE BUILDINGS BUILT
Developers are people who design houses which might sound easy
but actually it requires a lot of architectural knowledge because you
can’t just draw it on a paper and hand it to a builder and expect them to build it.
A building is a structure with walls a roof and doors and windows.
Buildings are stationary or permanent because they are built in one
place and stay in that one place for as long as they are not moved like
some house/buildings.
There are many processes to designing and building homes like there is
a process called site an analysis which means to scan the building site for
any imperfections that will not allow the build to be done properly.
For example from the last build which was on that land had a pipe
which is going to affect the build.
As a builder and designer, you would think about what kind of foundation
would be required according to the height of the building. For example, the higher
the building the lower the foundation would need to be. The sky tower is 328 meters
tall and the foundation goes 12 meters of 39 feet.
After the foundation has been laid you must take the blueprint from the designer of
the building and start placing the framing which can consist of wood or steel and also
concrete which is mostly used in apartments or commercial buildings. Concrete is used in
commercial buildings mainly because it can resist fire up to 650 or 930 degrees Celsius and it
can also handle a 9.0 magnitude earthquake.
The next step is to put in the insulation because insulation keeps you warm in the winter
and also cools your home in the summer because in summer your house can very easily
escalate the temperatures in your house up to 40 degrees. The insulation cools your home
in a way that blocks the hot air outside from entering the cool inside of your home and it does
that by creating a thermal barrier so that the warm air gets blocked.
Walls are next and for your walls gib is the best material for internal walls because they
are cost-effective, they are lite weight so that it is easy to maneuver they also provide
decent noise canceling as well as giving a good fire-resistant rating. Gib is a good material
because it is non-toxic and surprisingly made from 100% recycled paper. Gib is also known
as Plasterboard.
Now you will need windows and doors and in most modern houses double glazing is used to
improve the noise coming from outside and also preventing lots and lots of heat from entering
your home. And keeping warm air inside in the winter and cold air inside in the summer.
Doors are extremely important because they give you access to get in and out of your
house and they give you access in emergencies. In most modern homes doors are made
of fiberglass and hard wood such as Kwila or Cedar.
You now need a roof and in most newer homes roofs are made up of metal
like galvanized steel or sheet metal. Sheet metal is good for high winds and
thunderstorms because it can move a little bit.
Now in the final bit, you will need all of your connections to work. For example, you need
your water or your electricity and also your internet and for all of those things, you will need to
call an Electrician and a Plumber and also your internet companies people.
