 These are my flow charts that we did it tech today.

Tamaki tech-woodwork

 

We have 2 hour sessions every week on Friday mornings. Our teachers name is Mr Grundy.

This was on of my favorite things to do in tech so far.

 Today we did floating and sinking and in this session we learnt which shapes floated  and which sinking   and which semi floated.

  

Tamaki Tech

 Today in Tech we learned plants and a process which they do called photosynthesis. We talked about what photosynthesis means and how it works. It happens it the leaves. Now we got told what our experiment was and that was to see how plants or what we used celery. We put water in a flask and then we poured approximately 10 drops of food coloring of your choice. Our options were red and blue. Finally we put in the celery stem and stirred it a bit. Now we just had to wait about an hour then cut open the stem and there it was I saw the red food coloring half way up the stem.

     

Science- Tech

 Today in tech we learned about bubbles and to make the bubbles you need soap and water. We used 125 ml of water and then we put in 5 grams of sugar so then we got the stirring stick and mixed it. Once that was done we mixed in 3 ml of glycerol then finally put in 10 ml of washing detergent and mixed it thoroughly. Now was the fun part and that was to make some sculptures with the bubbles and one of my favorites was to make a square bubble inside the round bubbles.

 

Tech-Holiday Work

 Today we did Arm length and height and taste testing we used rulers and measuring tape. I really enjoyed that task and then we did the taste testing. That was not very tasty because all of them had some sort of taste which was not very nice. Finally we had to write it in our project book. I enjoyed this session.

Tamaki tech

 On Friday we had tech and it was so fun that while I was walking there I was day dreaming about what would it be like. Our teachers name was Mrs. Sharma. Our first discussion  was about the three branches of science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics. Then we talked about what happens in the three branches of science and then we had to write any three questions we wanted to ask during our session. Then came the fun part of making paper planes. we had three chances to identify the winner to engineered their planes the best the go the furthest. We had three chances because if we didn't make a good one the first time then you could modify it another two times. It was so fun because I came second place with my furthest at 9.90 m and Wuatai won it with 10.0 m. But I was still extremely happy with my place.
